Description:
Spend one week engaging in hands-on activities such as community outreach, environmental conservation, teaching, or youth mentorship. This short but powerful experience gives volunteers a taste of Ugandan culture and the impact of grassroots development work.

Cost: US $150

2–4 Weeks – Immersive Community Engagement

Perfect for: Volunteers seeking deeper involvement
Description:
Over 2–4 weeks, volunteers become fully integrated into daily programs—supporting skills development, agriculture, SRHR initiatives, eco-tourism, ICT training, and more. You’ll build relationships with community members and contribute to meaningful, ongoing projects.

Cost Range:

  • 2 Weeks: US $300

  • 3 Weeks: US $450

  • 4 Weeks: US $600

1–3 Months – Skills-Based Placement

Perfect for: Interns, university students, gap-year volunteers, experienced professionals
Description:
This period gives volunteers the chance to take on specialized roles or support long-term project goals. Whether leading workshops, supporting regenerative farming, guiding youth programs, or assisting in women’s empowerment activities, volunteers see their impact from start to finish.

Cost Range:

  • 1 Month (4 Weeks): US $500

  • 2 Months (8 Weeks): US $950

  • 3 Months (12 Weeks): US $1,400

Long-Term Placements – 3–12 Months

Description:
Long-term volunteers become deeply rooted in our community. You may co-lead initiatives, help design new programs, build organizational systems, train youth leaders, or contribute to impact evaluation and innovation. This placement delivers the highest level of cultural exchange, learning, and impact.

Cost Range:

  • 3 Months: US $1,400

  • Up to 12 Months:
    Pricing continues according to weekly increments.
    (Example: 24 weeks ≈ $2,250 for basic programs.)

Who can volunteer with RAVT?

Anyone aged 16+ with a passion for helping communities can join. We welcome students, professionals, gap-year travelers, families, and retirees. No prior experience is required.

Do I need special qualifications?

No. Our programs accommodate all skill levels. If you have expertise (ICT, teaching, agriculture, health, business), we match you with a role that maximizes your strengths.

Is Uganda safe for volunteers?

Yes. Uganda is one of East Africa’s safest and friendliest countries. Our staff provides orientation, local guidance, and 24/7 support. We also place volunteers in trusted communities.

What’s included in the program fee?
